  • Our childhood myopia treatment aims to slow progression and reduce future eye health risks. The process begins with a thorough eye exam, including tests like visual acuity, axial length measurement, and corneal topography, to assess the severity and underlying causes.

    Treatment options available include:

    1. Ortho-K: Special contact lenses worn overnight to reshape the cornea, effective in slowing myopia.

    2. Essilor Stellest Lenses: Glasses with a unique design to slow myopia progression. Easy to use with no special care required.

    3. MiSight Contact Lenses: Soft contact lenses designed to reduce myopia progression.

Regular follow-up exams ensure treatment effectiveness and eye health, adjusting the approach as needed.

Ortho-k, non-surgical vision correction method that uses specially designed contact lenses worn overnight to temporarily reshape the cornea, allowing for clear vision during the day without glasses or daytime contact lenses.

Myopia controlled glasses, Essilor's Stellest lenses are designed to slow the progression of myopia in children, they achieve this through Highly Aspherical Lenslet Target (HALT) technology.

MiSight contact lens, a prescription device indicated for the correction of nearsightedness and for slowing the progression of nearsightedness in children.

  • Cataract surgery, also known as lens replacement surgery, involves removing the clouded natural lens of the eye and replacing it with a clear artificial lens (IOL) to improve vision.

We provide a selection of IOL for patients of different needs.

Monofocal IOLs: Correct vision for a single distance, often requiring glasses for near vision.

Multifocal IOLs: Offer a range of vision correction, reducing the need for glasses.

Accommodative IOLs: Mimic the eye's natural ability to focus at different distances.

Toric IOLs: are specifically designed to correct astigmatism, a common refractive error. Unlike standard IOLs, which only correct for nearsightedness or farsightedness, toric lenses have different optical powers in different meridians, allowing for better visual outcomes for patients with astigmatism.

  • LipiFlow is a treatment for dry eye disease, specifically meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD), that uses controlled heat and pressure to clear blocked meibomian glands, allowing them to resume normal oil production and improve tear quality.

LipiView is a non-invasive diagnostic tool that uses digital imaging to assess the tear film and meibomian glands, helping doctors diagnose and determine the severity of dry eye, particularly meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD).

  • Intravitreal injections (IVI) of anti-VEGF medications like Avastin (bevacizumab), Lucentis (ranibizumab), and Eylea (aflibercept) are a common treatment for various retinal and macular diseases, working by blocking abnormal blood vessel growth or leakage.

Wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD), Diabetic retinopathy, Diabetic macular edema, high myopia CNV, Central retinal vein and artery occlusions (CRVO and CRAO), and Branch retinal vein and artery occlusions (BRVO and BRAO).

  • Diagnosis of Retinal Breaks

A retinal break is a tear or hole in the retina that can lead to retinal detachment if untreated.

    Ophthalmic Examination

    1. Dilated Fundus Examination using indirect ophthalmoscopy to inspect the retina.

    2. Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) may help visualize the layers of the retina.

    Treatment Using Argon Laser Photocoagulation

Argon laser photocoagulation is a non-invasive procedure that creates thermal burns around the retinal break to induce scarring and prevent fluid from entering under the retina.

  • High myopia

For patients that suffer from high myopia and when traditional refractive laser surgery is not an option. Intraocular lens insertion may be a viable option.

The Artiflex phakic intraocular lens (pIOL) is a foldable, iris-fixated lens designed for correcting myopia, including high myopia, and can be a safe and effective alternative to laser surgery in certain cases.
